Techniques
Stretching and warm-up:
1.

count each)
Toe
touch, cross-over toe touch, feet spread- touch center & both sides,
standing- 1 foot chicken stretch, calves, shoulder over, shoulder in front,
wrist on hip, sit- butterflies, ankle
over knee-butt stretches, feet over head- back stretch, hands behind- shoulder
stretch, wrist/finger stretch,
ankle stretch, neck rolls- side/side & front, neck bridges.
2. Push –ups, sit-ups, knee drops, Burpies, sprawls, cherry pickers, jumping jacks.
If
you are doing these at home, be sure to at least be on carpet or a pillow for
the neck bridges, and also for the knee drops

I found these and many more on a site (Wrestling's Best-mouse over to click) with an overwhelming number of clips. Many of the techniques there are beyond the abilities and comprehension of the youth wrestler, so I chose these as most applicable. Feel free to browse the other site, but understand that I cannot spend large amounts of time explaining and teaching many of the techniques listed. I will be adding to this list as the season progresses, and if a particular technique seems especially intriguing, I would be happy to discuss/teach it. ~Coach Mike
